Athletics: Date Change for 2005 CLUB XC Championship?

A date change for the 2005 Club XC Championships is being considered to avoid a conflict with Thanksgiving.

The following note is from Peter Glavin of the Genesee Valley Harriers who are hosting the event:

Fellow XC Enthusiasts:

I am trying to solicit feedback from the various National XC Club contacts regarding next years USATF National Club Cross Country Championships in Rochester, NY.

As you may know, next year’s event will fall on Thanksgiving weekend (Saturday, November 26) which I’m sure will cause some travel and personnel availability problems for many teams. There is a thought of moving the event up one week to Saturday November 19. (December dates are out due to USATF convention and lack of hotel rooms in Rochester)

If you have strong feelings either way, please let me know. A final decision will be made by the 1st of the year.
