Posted: December 18, 2005 Triathlon: Buffalo Trails Triathlon To Host 2006 “Best Of The US” Kentucky Qualifier (St. Paul, MN – 12/15/2005)–– ”Best of the US” Management is pleased to announce that the Buffalo Trails Triathlon will host the 2006 “Best of the US” Kentucky State Qualifier. The fastest male and female resident amateur will earn the right to represent the Blue Grass State at the “Best of the US Championship” in Excelsior, MN on September 16. The Buffalo Trails Triathlon, slated for May 27, replaces the East Fork Triathlon in Bethel, OH, which hosted the 2005 Kentucky State Qualifier. “We are so happy that Buffalo Trails is part of this year’s program,” says Jerry MacNeil, “Best of the US” PR Director. “Had the BTT been on our schedule in 2005, Kentucky would have been represented at the Championship by Barry Knight and Lisbeth Kenyon, two of America’s top amateur triathletes. We hope to see Barry and Lisbeth and all the other great Kentucky athletes in Maysville next May.” The two-year-old Buffalo Trails Triathlon will be staged beautiful, historic Maysville in northeast Kentucky. The event consists of a half mile swim in the Ohio River, followed by a hilly 22 mile bike leg and a 3.05 mile run.
