Posted: December 19, 2005 Athletics: Larry Levy Named Vice President/Finance For Devine Racings
CHICAGO (December 19, 2005) – Larry Levy, Chief Financial Officer for Devine Racing since its inception in 2003, today was named Vice President Finance. Devine CEO Steve Miller, in making the announcement, stated, “Larry Levy is the quintessential financial strategist and ‘guardian.’ In all my years in business, he represents the top of the line in his field. Larry sits at the table in every discussion regarding our total business direction as well as providing accurate and precise economic modeling.” Larry has been active in all financial aspects of Devine Racing since the fall of 2003, shortly after Devine created the Salt Lake City Marathon. He oversees due diligence, financial modeling, financing and management of the accounting department as well as being heavily involved in the acquisition process. He is responsible for establishing all procedures, policies, internal controls and budgets as they relate to each individual race in the Devine Racing portfolio. An integral part of the financial dealings for Marathon Media since 1996, Larry served first as Controller then Chief Operating Officer. His role included handling due diligence, budgeting and financial management for 95 radio stations in 25 markets throughout the Midwest, Intermountain west and Northwest. A graduate of Vassar College (1984) and Pace University with a Masters degree in Accounting (1990), Levy is a C.P.A. in the State of Illinois.
