Posted: July 12, 2006 Multisport: B.O.B Strollers Strengthens Partnership with the Iron Girl Brand BOB Strollers, a name known in high-end baby stores and sporting goods stores nationwide, has renewed its sponsorship with Iron Girl, and the Iron Girl family of partners for 2006. BOB will have a presence at all events in the 2006 RYKA Iron Girl National Women’s Event Series in locations such as Boston, Mass., Denver, Colo., Seattle, Wash. and Clearwater, Fla. As part of a multi-year agreement, BOB will provide product giveaways, offer product discounts to all participants and supply stroller information at each event. Through the partnership, BOB and Iron Girl will give away one Sport Utility Stroller, more than a $350 value, at each event along with ten percent coupons redeemable at local retailers. "BOB shares Iron Girl’s attitude toward healthy lifestyles for women and families. We’re proud to support Iron Girl events that foster these values," said Damon Noller, vice president of sales and marketing for BOB Strollers. BOB Strollers was formed in 1994 as one of the first manufacturers of single-wheeled bicycle cargo trailers. In 1998, shortly after the founders of the company became fathers, BOB Strollers designed and developed the first Sport Utility Stroller. A pioneer in the stroller industry, the Sport Utility Stroller was recently featured in The Wall Street Journal and on The Today Show, America’s No. 1 Morning Show. Launched in 2004, Iron Girl has established itself as a premier all-women’s event series catering to women of all ages and fitness levels. Iron Girl has matured from two short-distance events in 2004 to a growing list of events varying in distance from 5K to triathlon and duathlon. The goal of the Iron Girl brand is to get women moving through participation in events. The Vice President of Iron Girl, Judy Molnar says, “The renewed partnership with BOB Strollers will continue to enhance Iron Girl’s outreach to women, helping more women lead active lifestyles through event participation. Iron Girl recognizes the needs of new moms by encouraging the use of baby joggers and including a Mother/Daughter Category, thus allowing all women to experience what it means to be an Iron Girl."
