Posted: July 12, 2006 Triathlon: Blue Competition Cycles Supports USA Triathlon Athlete Development Colorado Springs, Colorado (July 11, 2006) - USA Triathlon is proud to announce that Blue Competition Cycles will generously support young triathletes in the United States with a discount purchase program for their bicycles and accessories designed for draft legal triathlon. USAT Sport Performance Director Scott Schnitzspahn is ecstatic about the program and said, “This is a very generous offer by Blue to take their sponsorship of USA Triathlon to the next level and lessen one of the barriers to competition that young triathletes have: purchasing a quality road bike.” To take advantage of the program, any USAT member aged 13 to 19 who is a member of a USAT club may contact their club representative to obtain special pricing information and an order form. Club representatives from USAT registered clubs may contact Athlete Development Coordinator Steve Kelley (steve.kelley@usatriathlon.org) for order forms. The deadline for all orders is July 20. Blue Competition Cycles joined USAT as a corporate sponsor earlier this year and is the exclusive bicycle provider of the USA Triathlon National Team Program through 2008. Combining advanced frame design, light weight and the highest quality construction, Blue Competition Cycles has developed some of the best bikes available and has more National Racing Calendar victories than any other brand.
