Triathlon: Triathlon Fans Get Raceday Updates On Their Cell Phones At Ford Ironman 70.3 World Championship With The Florida Half Buzz

Washington, DC – ES Interactive announced today that it has partnered with nuun to offer fans the Florida Half Buzz: text messages of insider pre-race news and raceday updates during the first-ever half Ironman Championship race in Clearwater Florida, on November 11. As over 1700 world-class athletes gather in Clearwater, fans can follow the action on their cell phones from wherever they are. Fans can sign up today at www.wigglewireless.com/halfbuzz to receive the free text messages. Pre-race Buzz and raceday updates are provided via text message by triathlon insiders including some of the athletes themselves!

Pre-race Buzz starts Thursday, November 9 and text messages continue through November 12 via WiggleWireless’ Mobile Media Portal. The service is free to fans, but standard text messaging wireless carrier fees may apply.

The Florida Half Buzz follows the success of Kona Buzz, which chronicled the recent full Ironman championship in Kona, Hawaii. “This is the kind of information you just won’t get anywhere else. The athlete reporters know the inside scoop on all of the contenders.” said Carri Bennet, CEO of ES Interactive. “They’re all poking fun at each other and themselves—it’s a blast!”

“Getting those updates on your phone brings the details of the event to you, “ noted Tim Moxey, founder of nuun. “It’s pretty cool technology that allows fans to literally become part of the event—we’re excited to help provide it to them absolutely free.”
