HENDERSON, Nev. – January 4, 2007 – Frank Lowery, Race Director of the Nevada Silverman Triathlon announced today the City of Henderson will once again host the Nevada Silverman Triathlon on Sunday, November 11, 2007. Featuring a 2.4 mile swim in Lake Mead, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run, the 3rd annual Nevada Silverman Triathlon is the race that will set triathletes apart from the mainstream.
The race will begin promptly at 6:30am on Sunday, November 11, 2007 and launch at Hemmingway Harbor at Lake Mead. The race will also feature a half distance triathlon in 07, which will consist of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike ride and a 13.1 mile run. With approximately 400 participants in the 2006 race, 2007 is sure to attract thousands.
The Silverman Triathlon is a full-distance triathlon held in Henderson, Nevada.
Branded as the toughest course in North America by "The Man" himself, Dave Scott, and echoed by the 244 finishers from 2005, 390 in 2006, the Nevada Silverman will attract individuals and relay teams from around the world in 2007. This years’ event, sponsored by Centra, the City of Henderson, Allegiant Airlines, Outback Steakhouse, CES and many more will take place Sunday, November 11, 2007.
