San Diego, Calif. – Jan. 12, 2007 – Triathlete magazine, the multisport industry’s leading publication for feature profiles, news, training, race coverage, gear reviews and more has named Boulder, Colorado’s Barry Siff as a contributing editor. Siff, an experienced athlete, is also the founder of 5430 Sports (www.5430sports.com), which owns and manages a number of Colorado-based multisport events.
Siff has directed over 40 multisport events since 1998, including adventure races and camps, winter triathlons and numerous nationally acclaimed summer triathlons. As an athlete, Siff has completed over 30 marathons, four Ironman triathlons and virtually every major adventure race in the world as captain of Team Salomon North America. Before shifting his business focus to multisport, Siff was a partner in a highly successful telemarketing company as well as a senior vice-president of a $7 billion food business. Siff is also co-author (along with his business partner and adventure-racing teammate Liz Caldwell) of Adventure Racing: The Ultimate Guide and Fit & Fun for Life.
