Egmond Half Marathon - Photo Source: Wooning Aviation
Sunday 14 January 2007 the Ethiopian athlete Eshete Wondimu won the 35th Egmond Half Marathon in a time of 1.04.14. The Egmond Half Marathon with 12,500 participants is famous because of the exclusive and heavy course over the North sea beach and through the hilly dunes. This year the Egmond Half Marathon once again proved it’s reputation. Following high tide and strong wind the course on the beach was almost too small to welcome the thousands of runners. The photo enclosed shows the small course on the beach.
