U.S. track stars to appear at 2nd Annual Kidz Combine
Team USA stars Lauryn Williams and Tiombe Hurd will appear at the 2nd
Annual Kidz Combine on March 18 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida.
The event is funded in part by a $2,500 donation from Visa, which made
the contribution on Williams' behalf when she was named USATF's 2006
Visa Humanitarian Athlete of the Year. The donation will go directly to
providing a lasting experience for the children in attendance at the
Kidz Combine.
More than 120 children from the Community Partnership for Homeless
(South Dade Facility) will participate in the Kidz Combine, where
they'll race against Williams, the 2005 World Outdoor women's 100m
champion, and will jump against Hurd, who holds the American record in
the women's triple jump.
