Highlights for March include:
- With an adventure around every bend and 45 years of history, the San Blas Half Marathon in Puerto Rico is a “must do” for the committed runner. “Explore beyond the shore”.
- Next time you get impatient waiting for the elevator, remember…you have options. The stairs. In this case there are 1576 steps in the 30th annual New York Road Runners Empire State Building Run-Up.
- Good vibes all around Washington Heights in the Coogan’s Salsa, Blues, and Shamrocks 5K, with some fun and festive racing for all ages.
- A Great Moment in Racing. The 1984 L’eggs Mini Marathon, held just a few months before the first ever women’s Olympic Marathon. The mini…a stellar international field and a celebration of women’s running, a New York Road Runners event.
- Some studies show the cross country ski racers are the best conditioned athletes in the world. And a touch of that is on display in the Winter Jam in Central Park, presented by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation.
