(St. Paul, MN – 4/18/2007)–– “Best of the US” Management and SetUp
Events invite the triathletes of the Tar Heel State to race at the
12th annual WHITE LAKE SPRINT / BEST OF THE US NORTH CAROLINA
QUALIFIER in White Lake, NC on May 6. This is the third consecutive
year that WHITE LAKE SPRINT has hosted the NC qualifier.
North Carolina has no shortage of great triathletes. In addition to
2006 representatives Cid Cardoso Jr. and Marit Chrislock-Lauterbach,
2005 representatives Brian Smith and Sian Hunter, here are some of
the men that we hope to see at this popular sprint course event (in
alphabetical order): Richard Armstrong, Kenneth Bush, John Dewey,
Chuck Dumke, Sonni Dyer, Nick Frank, Duncan Hoge, Benji Jones, Aaron
Kiefer, Trent Kirk, Kevin Lisska, John Shilt, Dustin Shinholser,
David Sokolofsky, Tim Starets, Zach Stroud, Nat Swearingen, Daniel
Williams and Eric Zack. Top NC women we hope to see on May 6
include Carrie Andrews, Anne Basso, Melissa Bell, Cheryl Cardello,
Jeanna Chain, Kat Clewley, Brianne Godwin, Marit Chrislock-
Lauterbach, Brennan Liming, Kathleen Malone, Kate Martin, Mary Lynne
McElhaney, Kelly McLaughlin, Alicia Parr, Kristin Price, Stacey
Richardson, Tracy Sproule, Michelle Steiner and Sara Tussey. SetUp
Events invite these and all the other great athletes of North
Carolina to race in White Lake on May 6.
The fastest male and female resident amateurs will receive
invitations to represent North Carolina at the “Best of the US
National Championship” on October 6 at Cypress Gardens Adventure Park
in Winter Haven, Florida. Any male/female combination of the
abovementioned athletes would ensure a formidable presence for North
Carolina at the Championship.
