(St. Paul, MN – 4/20/2006)–– “Best of the US” Management and Blue Hills Adventures invite the triathletes of the the Sunflower State to race at the FLINT HILLS TRIATHLON / BEST OF THE US KANSAS QUALIFIER at Tuttle Creek State Park near Manhattan, KS on Sunday, June 3.
Kansas has many fine triathletes. Female standouts include Katie Barnoski (2005 KS State BOUS Representative), Jennifer Blades, Leslie Curley, Chrissy Hilgers, Mary Lea Kieffer, Ginny Lee (2006 KS BOUS Representative), Leeann Reed, Sara Rosenkranz, Darcy Simpson, Nancy Strickland, Ashleigh Sumner and Chrissy Usher. For the men, there’s Gregg Buehler, Tim Mesger, Kevin Sampson (2006 KS BOUS Representative), Bob Schloegel, Nick Schultz (2005 KS BOUS Representative), Allyn Smith and James Wilburn. “Curley, Lee, Rosenkranz, Schloegel and Buehler are well-respected national class talents and would give Kansas a very strong presence at the Championship in October,” noted Jerry MacNeil, BOUS PR Director.
The fastest male and female resident amateurs will receive invitations to represent Kansas at the “Best of the US National Championship” on October 6 at Cypress Gardens Adventure Park in Winter Haven, FL.
