Showing no signs of slowing down at 35 years-old, Kenyan Olympian Thomas Nyariki zipped through the streets of New Milford, Conn., last night at the 14th annual New Balance Moonlight Run 5-K in a snappy 13 minutes and 36 seconds, wiping out Patrick Nthiwa's 2003 course record by 22 seconds.

Second place went to compatriot Philip Koech in 13:42, with Alene Emere Reta of Ethiopia third in 13:51.

Alemtsehay Misganaw, an Ethiopian living in New York City, won the women's race 16:06 with her compatriot and friend Aatelech Katema in second 15 seconds back. Third place went to Claudia Camargo, an Argentine citizen living in nearby Danbury, in 16:36.

The event recorded 825 finishers
