(St. Paul, MN – 6/5/2007)–– “Best of the US” Management and Race
Director Jonathan Hoskins and his Total Health Events team invite the
triathletes of the Evergreen State to compete at the inaugural
CHELANMAN OLYMPIC TRIATHLON / BEST OF THE US MISSISSIPPI QUALIFIER at
Don Morse Park in Chelan, WA on Saturday, July 21.
Washington boasts a plethora of talented triathletes. Among the elite
men we hope to see at Chalenman Olympic, are Ed Clarke, Guy Crawford,
2006 WA BOUS delegate John “Johnny Mexico” Dalrymple, John Duquette,
Michel Gordon, Kurt Hartmaier, Clark Holvorson, David Larpenteur,
Michael Montgomery, Andrew Neff, Carl Newton, Bart Orth, Daryl Smith
and Kelly Young. Top women we hope to see on July 21 include Libby
Armentrout, Alina Brown, Haley Cooper, Aubre Debenham, Kirsten
DeHart, Tamara Donnelly, Anne Jensen, Cynthia Krass, super master
Kelly Molaski, Teresa Nelson, Tracy Orcutt (3rd at 2006 BOUS
Championship!), Marti Reimer-ReissCatherine Rodehaffer, Robin
Secrist, Rhae Shaw, Patty Swedburg, Sonia Tonnemaker,
The fastest male and female resident amateurs will receive
invitations to represent Washington at the “Best of the US National
Championship” on October 6 at Cypress Gardens Adventure Park in
Winter Haven, FL.

The CHELANMAN MULTISPORT WEEKEND takes advantage of the natural
beauty of the area. The swims take place in the clear waters of Lake
Chelan. The runs are on paved paths and roads and the bikes are
along Lake Chelan and the Columbia River.
The weekend includes a first timer triathlon, a sprint, olympic and
half iron triathlons and 5K, 10K and Half marathon runs. The weekend
culminates with two marquee events. "Best of the US - Washington
State" an Olympic distance triathlon that is also a qualifier for the
2007 Best of the US championships. ChelanMan Half Iron Triathlon -
one of 18 direct qualifiers for 2007 USAT HalfMax national
championships. All events celebrate athletes of all abilities.
The ChelanMan Multisport Weekend is a project of Chelan Multisport
Group -- Chelan area community volunteers dedicated to raising funds
and creating events that promote healthy and active lifestyles for
Chelan area children and residents. A portion of the race fees will

partnership with the Chelan Multi-Sport Group. Total Health Events
has produced international triathlon championships such as Tri
Without Borders and the Grand Columbian, as well as numerous running
and multisport events focused on first time and age-group athletes.
