(St. Paul, MN – 7/08/2007)–– “Best of the US” Management, Pickle Events and Race Director LuAnn Millner invite the triathletes of Prairie Rose State to race at the 4TH annual YOUNG LIFE TRIATHLON / BEST OF THE US NORTH DAKOTA QUALIFIER, a great and challenging Olympic distance race that will be staged in Detroit Lakes, MN on August 18. (NOTE: This event, known formerly as the Castaway Club Triathlon, also features a sprint course race.)
Among the elite male and female triathletes we hope to see on August 18 are Robert Gilles, a two-time Honorable Mention USAT Triathlete of the Year, Melanie Carvell, ND’s most decorated multisportswoman, 2006 ND BOUS Representative Tim Clausnitzer and national-class talent Marlina Walth, who is the two-time defending champion at YOUNG LIFE.
The fastest male and female resident amateurs will receive invitations to represent North Dakota n at the “Best of the US National Championship” on October 6 at Cypress Gardens Adventure Park in Winter Haven, FL. Any combination of the abovementioned male and female triathletes would assure a strong presence for North Dakota at the Championship.
