VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., (July 9, 2007) - The seventh annual Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon presented by SunTrust, set for Sept. 2, 2007, has just 800 entry spots available. The half-marathon has sold out every year since its inception and is expected to do so again this year.

Individuals can register online at www.RnRHalf.com or call 800-311-1255 for an entry form. Included in the $85 entry fee are an official race T-shirt, a goodie bag, a ticket to the post-race concert featuring INXS, and admission to all concerts including the Verizon Wireless American Music Festival.

Hotel and car rental discounts are available for race participants traveling from out of town. Hotels are filling up fast, but a number of great locations are still available. The Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon offers a fast and flat seaside course. In addition to 20 live bands staged approximately every mile along the 13.1-mile course, 16 local high school cheerleading squads line the route. The event concludes with an evening concert featuring global rock sensation, INXS. The half-marathon complements other holiday weekend festivities in Virginia Beach including the Verizon Wireless American Music Festival.

Centrally located on the East Coast, Virginia Beach is situated in the southeastern corner, where the state of Virginia meets the sea. This popular resort city is just three and a half hours south of Washington, D.C., and within a short driving distance to many U.S. cities, making it easily accessible for a third of the U.S. population. Norfolk International Airport serves Virginia Beach and is just a short drive from the oceanfront.
