HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The largest and only oceanfront marathon in Orange County, Calif., the Surf City USA® Marathon, has selected MKM, a leading youth culture and active lifestyle marketing firm, as agency of record. Based in Huntington Beach, MKM's mission is to implement innovative marketing strategies, spearhead public relations and assist with branding and sponsorship solicitation efforts.
Formerly known as the Pacific Shoreline Marathon for 11 years, the inaugural Surf City USA Marathon has re-branded their world-class race to more closely align with the unique surf culture of Huntington Beach. The event showcases 15,000 runners and walkers along with 30,000 spectators representing 48 states and 19 foreign countries. It is rated among the top five marathon experiences in America by Marathon and Beyond. The next event date is Feb. 3, 2008.
