"Spirit of the Marathon" - a film that captures the essence and drama of human triumph achieved through training for and completing a marathon - has been accepted to the Chicago International Film Festival and will have its world debut with back-to-back screenings on Friday evening, October 5, 2007. This is two days prior to the 30th running of the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon. For Chicago natives, or runners who plan to be in town for the marathon, ticket information will be announced soon.
Special Screening Contest
The producers are holding a special screening contest for the city that shows the most interest. So far, Memphis, Tenn. is leading the way; however, there are many other cities and clubs that are quite active in lobbing for this event. The running community's support has been tremendously helpful in getting this film to the finish line.
