OTTAWA Tyler Christopher from Edmonton finished 2nd at the ISTAF in Berlin, Germany yesterday. The ISTAF was the sixth and final meet in the 2007 IAAF Golden League series. Christopher crossed the line after reigning world champion Jeremy Wariner in a time of 45.10.
Angela Whyte from Edmonton was 5th in the womens hurdles crossing the line in 12.75. Perdita Felicien of Pickering, ON was 9th in 12.89. Kevin Sullivan from Brantford, ON was 11th in the mens 1500 metres in a time of 3:38.75.
Isinbayeva and Richards share one million
Russian pole vaulter Yelena Isinbayeva and American sprinter Sanya Richards shared the Golden League Jackpot prize of one million dollars in Berlin. The prize is awarded to athletes who win their event at every meet in the series.
