Toronto, ON - October 9, 2007 - The excitement of the 13th Annual Toronto
Marathon begins at the Toronto Marathon Runners Expo. Runners pick up their
race kits and shop around for the latest in technical runner gear while
gathering information on the most enticing international marathon
destinations.
Where: Sheraton Centre Hotel - 123 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON
When: Friday Oct. 12, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Saturday Oct. 13, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
In preparation for race day, the Toronto Marathon will host two carbo load
dinners on Saturday October 13, 2007 at 6 p.m. The Hilton Carbo Dinner will
feature a runners' workshop with guest speakers Bart Yasso of Runners' World
Magazine and running legend Kathrine Switzer. The Novotel Carbo Dinner will
feature guest speaker John Stanton, founder and president of the Running
Room.

The Toronto Marathon is the largest and oldest marathon in Toronto,
generating $15 million to the local economy each year. Over 10,000
participants from 40+ countries are expected to participate in the Marathon,
Half Marathon, 5K or Relay on October 14, 2007. Since 1995, the Toronto
Marathon has generated over $5 million for its various charitable partners
including the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, Hemophilia, Multiple
Sclerosis, Toronto Foundation for Student Success, ICA Canada and Diabetes.
