Live race results announced for spectators - Online registration closes January 4
PHOENIX, Ariz., (Dec. 18, 2007) - Musical sensation, Kool & the Gang, will take the stage in celebration of the 5th anniversary P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon & ˝ Marathon on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Tempe Beach Park.
Gates open at 5:00 p.m. followed by an opening act at 6 p.m. and Kool & The Gang at 8:00 p.m.
All P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon & ˝ Marathon race participants and volunteers receive free entry to the concert. Race participants gain entry by presenting their race number at the door. Additional tickets and special group packages are available online at Ticketmaster www.ticketmaster.com through Jan. 10, or at the Health & Fitness Expo on Jan. 11 and 12.
With a reputation for crowd pleasing favorites, Kool & the Gang has brought a mixture of funk and jazz to the music scene since 1964. Kool & the Gang has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide and influenced the music of three generations. Thanks to songs like Celebration, Cherish, Jungle Boogie, Summer Madness and Open Sesame, they've earned two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R&B hits and 31 gold and platinum albums.
Live Race Results Announced for spectators
Friends and family can now track a race participant's progress at the P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon & ˝ Marathon online through Live Results featured at www.RnRaz.com.
As runners and walkers cross timing mats along the marathon and half marathon courses, timing chips, attached to the participants' shoes, will record their time. The information is then posted on the Live Results page at the P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona website. Information on Live Results will be placed on www.RnRaz.com by Friday, Jan. 4, 2008. Enter a participant's name or race number for results.
Online Registration Closing
Organizers of the P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon & ˝ Marathon urge runners and walkers to register now for the 5th anniversary race, and save before online registration closes Friday, January 4, 2008. This is the last opportunity for participants to receive the lower online registration prices before they increase at the Health & Fitness Expo on Friday, January, 11 and Saturday, January 12 at the Phoenix Convention Center.

The P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona features live bands positioned at each mile along both the 26.2 and 13.1-mile courses, creating a block party atmosphere for participants and spectators alike. More than 35,000 runners and walkers are expected to participate on the marathon and half-marathon courses. The event concludes with an evening concert at Tempe Beach Park featuring Kool & The Gang.
A two-day Health & Fitness Expo kicks off race week at the Phoenix Convention Center On Fri., Jan. 11 and Sat., Jan. 12. All participants visit the expo to pick up their race numbers and browse over 100 vendors from the running and fitness industry.
