Philadelphia, PA, February 18, 2008: In an effort to share her positive experiences with other women, triathlete Rhonda Cohen, in conjunction with CGI Racing, Platoon Fitness and Cadence Cycling and Multi-Sports, has organized a beginner triathlon and duathlon training group. Its work will lead up to the Philadelphia Women’s Triathlon presented by Sunoco Welcome America on July 6th.
The group, affectionately known as "Rhonda’s Rookies” will meet at Cadence Cycling and Multi-sport on February 24th at 1 p.m. for a beginner indoor cycling class as well as a unique triathlon fashion show by members of the group. Professional triathlete and Cadence coach, Holden Comeau, will lead the class and give how-to tips for those in attendance.
The Training Group is free to any women wanting to experience the multi-sport life in a fun atmosphere.
The meeting will help women experience the sport and more importantly empower themselves to change their lives. Rhonda has recruited experienced triathletes and professionals, urging women to "try a tri or duathlon." Rhonda didn’t begin to train for her first triathlon until she was age 50.
