The third annual Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon is ready to roll on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 6:00 am with a brand new fast race course. Online registration is now open at www.coloradocolfaxmarathon.org.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) March 4, 2008 -- The third annual Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon is ready to roll on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 6:00 am with a brand new fast race course. Excitement is building to run the redesigned course along world famous Colfax Avenue in the cities of Aurora, Denver and Lakewood. The Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon invites runners of all ages and level of athletic ability to register online now at www.coloradocolfaxmarathon.org.
An anticipated 6,000 runners will compete along Colorado's most colorful street in the full marathon (26.2 miles), the half-marathon (13.1 miles) or a relay team comprised of 5 members.
This race is a celebration of the vibrant Colfax community.
"We listened to last year's runners and made some significant changes. We've got a brand new, fast course," said Dave Walstrom, President of the Colfax Marathon Partnership, Inc. "This race is a celebration of the vibrant Colfax community."
New This Year:
- It's a completely redesigned course. With expert help from a Runners Advisory Group, the new course starts and finishes in Denver's City Park. The course is USATF certified and a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
- No more hard hills, no net elevation gain, more shade, and great neighborhood diversity. And yes, more porta-potties!
- Over 20 Charity Partners are recruiting runners to raise funds for their organizations in the race.

- Full Marathon: $90.00 Registration ($100 after 4/30/08)
- Half Marathon: $50.00 Registration ($60 after 4/30/08)
