(St. Paul, MN – 3/12/2008)–– “Best of the US” Management, race director Mark Day and his Buffalo Trials Multisport Racing crew invite the triathletes of the Blue Grass State to race at the 4th annual BUFFALO TRIALS TRIATHLON / BEST OF THE US KENTUCKY QUALIFIER in Maysville, KY on May 24.
Kentucky has many talented triathletes. Here are some of the athletes that we hope to see at this annual classic (in alphabetical order): William Arnold, Beth Atnip, John Baker, Wendy Bellinger, Colleen Cornelius, Kim Cumbie, Bryan Elsner, Rob Fruth, Joy Johnson, Michelle Keyes, Barry Knight, Nancy McElwain, Kellie Moran-Jones, Ryan New, Andrew Oberst, Carol Olson-Smith, Allison Poe, Tina Stiles, and Tony White. “Barry Knight is a national-class talent and continues to set the performance standards in his home state. As Kentucky’s representative in 2006, Knight finished an impressive 13th at the BOUS Championship,” says Jerry MacNeil, “Best of the US” PR Director, adding “And Maysville’s own Allison Poe was impressive at last year’s Championship, finishing 15th against the deepest amateur women’s field of the year.”
The fastest male and female resident amateurs will receive invitations to represent Kentucky at the Soma Quarterman “Best of the US National Championship” on October 26 in Tempe, Arizona. Any male/female combination of the abovementioned athletes would ensure a formidable presence for Kentucky at the Championship.
