The Sports Science Institute of South Africa's 8-week Healthy Weight Programme offers a holistic and healthy approach to weight loss. Using our experienced staff core, it offers participants a comprehensive 8-week programme that assists them on the path to a healthier lifestyle. The success of the programme lies in its holistic approach to wellness and encourages positive and sustainable lifestyle changes. The multi disciplinary team working on the programme, includes biokineticists, exercise physiologists, dieticians and psychologists.
With winter fast approaching and the thought of heading outdoors holding little appeal, do not succumb to the temptation associated with the season. The programme will take you through a number of phases that include providing you with greater knowledge and awareness of food choices, to practical sessions that increase your physical activity levels and improve your commitment to healthy lifestyle habits.
The programme offers:
- Continuing education on strategies for weight loss, weight management and a healthy lifestyle.
- A dietary session to analyse eating habits and prescribe a personalised, healthy eating plan.
- A consultation with a Biokineticist and Exercise Scientist to prescribe safe and effective exercise.
- Input from a Health Psychologist regarding lifestyle choices.
- Regular monitoring of progress.
