(Duluth, Minn.) Registration for the 15th annual William A. Irvin 5K is now closed. The 3.1-mile race, scheduled for Friday, June 20 at 6 p.m., reached its 1,200-person limit in a record three days, Grandma’s Marathon announced today.

The William A. Irvin 5K starts and finishes alongside the permanently docked William A. Irvin ore boat in downtown Duluth. The event is the first of three road races during Grandma's Marathon weekend. Less than 300 spots remain for the 32nd running of Grandma’s Marathon, while registration is closed for the 18th annual Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon. These two races are held on Saturday, June 21.
