FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Lady Razorback Sarah Landau, a pole vaulter on the track and field team, has been honored by the Southeastern Conference, it was announced on Tuesday.

Landau, making her Lady’Back debut, cleared 13-1.5 to win the pole vault at the Louisiana Classics. She also cleared a regional-qualifying height. In her efforts, she also tied the Ragin’ Cajuns facility best. Her clearance of 13-1.5 leads the SEC by a foot and ranks No. 4 in the nation.

Landau, a transfer from Miami-Ohio, is a two-time NCAA Mideast Region Champion, three-time NCAA qualifier and two-time Mid-American Conference champion. She redshirted the 2008 indoor season and holds junior eligibility outdoors.

The Lady’Backs will compete next at Texas Relays, April 2-5, in Austin, Texas. For more information on Arkansas track and field, visit Ladybacks.com.
