(RRW) Athletics: NCAA 10,000M Record For Koll

Koll passed race leader Blake Russell with two laps to go, finishing in a personal best 32:11.13, bettering Shay's record of 32:19.97 set on the same track at the Cardinal Invitational meeting in 2004. Russell, who will run the Olympic Trials marathon in Boston on April 20, finished second in 32:14.91. Magdalena Lewy-Boulet, who will also run in the Trials, was third in 32:33.02. In the men's 10,000m, La Salle University senior Sean Quigley set a personal best time of 28:03.72 to win over Eastern State senior Jacob Korir of Kenya (28:04.47) and Kenyan Boaz Cheboiywo (28:08.81). American Ian Dobson was fourth: 28:16.47. Stanford's Ari Lambie won the women's 5000m in 15:41.76 while the men's 5-K went to Colorado's Stephen Pifer in 13:40.54.
