Watch over 50 IAAF Events Live and On-Demand at WCSN.com

QUANTICO — Organizers of the Marine Corps Marathon have unveiled marinecorpshistorichalf.com — the official Web site for the inaugural Marine Corps Historic Half, a race taking place May 18 in Fredericksburg.

Details and registration for the new MCM Event Series, held at Marine Corps Base Quantico, are featured on the site.

Rick Nealis, director of the race, said, “MarineCorpsHistoricHalf.com offers the great services and information runners have come to expect from the Marine

Corps Marathon Web site, with a focus on the new events being added to the annual line-up. The new site will help spread the MCM message of health and fitness in a user-friendly way to the half marathon audience.”

The new site offers a complete overview of critical content for participants in the event, including a detailed course map, packet pickup information, highlights of local events like the Rock the Block party and the Marine Corps Historic Half Golf Tournament, the Healthy Lifestyle Expo and more.

By logging on, runners can participate in the free Virtual Trainer, provided by New Balance, book their hotel and airfare, or make plans for their weekend in Fredericksburg by checking out exciting deals and special offers.
