(RRW) Athletics: Stormy Weather Threatens Reebok Grand Prix

The meet, an IAAF Grand Prix event, begins at 5:00 p.m. "If you have plans this weekend, listen up because it has a split look to it," WPIX-TV meteorologist Irv. 'Mr. G.' Gikofsky told his viewers on the station's website last night. "It may come down heavy, if not severe, which means cloud to ground lightning; there could be hale," he said. Winds could hit 40 MPH (64 KPH) and about one inch (2.5 cm) of rain could fall. Sunday's weather will be fine, said Gikofsky.
