Athletics: NCAA Track and Field Qualifiers Announced

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Lady Razorback track and field learned Tuesday that 10 of its student-athletes will be competing in seven events at the 2008 NCAA Championships, in Des Moines, Iowa, next week.

Dacia Barr (1,500 meters), Megan Jackson (3,000M steeplechase) and Christine Kalmer (5,000 meters) earned automatic advancement to the NCAA Championships with their top five finishes at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships in Fayetteville last weekend. Denise Bargiachi clocked a solid provisional-qualifying time in the 10,000 meters earlier this season.

The Lady’Backs received at-large bids for Catherine White in the 5,000 meters, Makeatha Cooper in the 100-meter hurdles, Katie Stripling in the pole vault and the 4x400-meter relay.
