The race for the jackpot continues in Oslo

Bershawn Jackson and Jeremy Wariner highlight the start lists this Friday at the second event of the IAAF Golden League, the IAAF ExxonMobil Bislett Games in Oslo, Norway. The IAAF Golden League 2008 offers a $1 Million Jackpot, which represents international athletics' biggest annual payday. Athletes must win at all six meetings to acquire at least a share.

Americans to watch for include:

2005 World Outdoor champion Bershawn Jackson is entered in the men's 400-meter hurdles in a fight to stay alive for his share of the $1 million jackpot. His strongest competition will come from 2005 World Outdoor silver medalist James Carter.

Reigning Olympic gold medalist and two-time World Outdoor champion Jeremy Wariner will look to once again shine in the men's 400m after a rare loss to compatriot LaShawn Merritt, the 2007 World Outdoor silver medalist, at the DKB-ISATF Berlin Golden League meeting last weekend. Also entered is Darold Williamson, the 2004 Olympic and two-time World Outdoor 4x400m gold medalist.

2004 Olympian Jen Rhines will run in the women's 5,000m in a race that includes two-time World 10,000m champion Tirunesh Dibaba and her sister Ejegayehu, the 2004 Olympic 10,000m silver medallist. Tirunesh has made known that she will have her sights set on breaking the world record Friday night in Oslo.

In the sprints, 2008 NCAA Indoor 200m champion Bianca Knight will face 2006 NCAA Indoor and Outdoor 200m champion Shalonda Solomon in the women's 100m. 2008 U.S. Indoor champion Michael Rodgers is entered in the men's 100m.

2007 Pan Am Games silver medalist Mike Hazle will look to continue his improvement in the men's javelin throw. Hazle has set personal records in two meets so far this season.

In other field event action, 2005 World Outdoor silver medalist Chaunte Howard is entered in the women's high jump and 2006 U.S. Outdoor champion Brian Johnson will take on 2005 U.S. Outdoor champion Miguel Pate in the men's long jump.

On the track, reigning World Indoor champion Lolo Jones will try to dethrone Josephine Onyia of Spain in her quest for a share of the Golden League Jackpot in the women's 100m hurdles.

The meet will be webcast live at 2:00pm ET on ,A HREF="http://www.usatf.org" target="_news">USATF.org and will air Friday on ESPN Classic from 2:30-4:30 pm ET and re-air Tuesday, June 15 from 12:30-2:30 pm ET on ESPN2.
