(St. Paul, MN – 6/10/2008)–– “Best of the US” Management and Race Director John Williams invite the triathletes of the Magnolia State to compete at the 29th annual HEART O’ DIXIE TRIATHLON / BEST OF THE US MISSISSIPPI QUALIFIER, a venerated point-to-point race originating in Louisville, MS and concluding in Philadelphia, MS. The event, which consists of a half mile swim, 27.5 mile bike and 7 mile run, is slated for Saturday, July 26.
Among the talented Mississsippi triathletes we hope to see at Heart O’ Dixie ‘08, are Chris Boyd, Amanda Cassell, Sheryl Chatfield, Angie Cody, Clay Curtis, Amy Davis, Tripp Davis, DeShon, Davis, Chuck Engle, 2007 BOUS delegate Margot Hair (13th at the 2007 BOUS Championship), Erica Hemmy, Heidi Howe, Sam Hudson, Cathy Henderson, Christy Jayne, Cassie Kippie, John Noblin, Kasey Perkins, 2006 BOUS delegate Kathryn Povolo, Chuck Rose, Sandra Schliesing, Marc Sims, Kelly White, Alisha Wingerter, and Alex Woodward.
The fastest male and female resident amateurs will receive invitations to represent Mississippi at the “Best of the US National Championship” on October 26 at Tempe Towne Lake in Tempe, Arizona.
