Corporate Cup Offers Employers/Employees Opportunity to Get Fit, Have Fun … and Win!
LOS ANGELES--(eMediaWorld)--Registration is now open for the Herbalife Corporate Triathlon Cup, a new competition element in the ninth annual Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon, September 7, 2008. The Corporate Cup challenges employees in all businesses and companies to work together and participate in a healthy, recreational competition that builds company pride, morale and camaraderie among employees.
“Through the Herbalife Corporate Cup, employers can motivate their employees to lead an active, healthy lifestyle,” said Jack Caress, director of the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon presented by Herbalife. “I encourage everyone to go to your respective workplaces, talk to fellow employees and a form team. I guarantee you’ll find this event do-able, and you’ll have a great time and enjoy the feeling of teamwork and success.”
The format allows employees to compete on the 0.4 mile swim; 20 mile bike; and 3.1 mile (5k) run Sprint course as an individual or on a three-person relay team. A company may enter as many individuals and/or relays teams as they choose, but to win the Corporate Cup trophy, a company must field at least three finishers. The three fastest times, regardless of whether individual or relay team, will be combined and the company with the fastest total time will receive the Herbalife Corporate Triathlon Championship Cup. This trophy will reside at the winning team’s offices for one year until the 10th annual Los Angeles Triathlon.
All Corporate Cup competitors are invited to join one or more event training sessions: Saturday, June 28; Saturday, July 26; and/or Saturday, August 30.
