Toronto, ON – October 17, 2008 – On your mark, get set…go! Don’t miss the exciting start and finish of the 14th annual Toronto Marathon. On Sunday October 19, over 12,000 participants from 45+ countries will hit the streets of Toronto in support of the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and a host of other charities.
Watch the start at Mel Lastman Square, Queen’s Park for the finish, and anywhere along the 42 km route to see Toronto’s largest running event of the year!

Results For The Toronto Marathon To Be Posted Online On October 19th.
Results for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K and Relay will be posted online at http://www.sportstats.ca/ on October 19th in the early afternoon.
All events finish at Queen’s Park – just North of Wellesley St.
Winning Times & Awards:
Winners in the Half Marathon are expected to finish shortly after 9:00 am. An awards ceremony will be held at 10:00 am at the Main Stage area next to the finish line
Winners in the Marathon are expected to finish around 11:15 am. An awards ceremony will be held at 12:00 noon at the Main Stage area next to the finish line.
Special guests and running legend Kathrine Switzer and Roger Robinson will be presenting the awards to the winners.
The Toronto Marathon is the largest and oldest marathon in Toronto, generating over $15 million to the local economy each year. Over 12,000 participants from 45+ countries are expected to participate in the Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K or Relay on October 19, 2008.
