Athletics: Next Up for Arkansas Men: NCAA Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 24 Arkansas Razorback men’s cross country will run at the NCAA Championships, Mon., Nov. 24. The men’s 10K race is set to go off at 11:45 a.m. CST at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind.

Lane Boyer, Michael Chinchar, Rick Elliott, Eric Fernandez, Scott MacPherson, Alex McClary, Andy McClary and Duncan Phillips are expected to compete at the 2008 NCAA Championships.

Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, BYU, Butler, California, Cal Poy, Colorado, Florida State, Georgetown, Iona, Iowa State, Michigan, Minnesota, NC State, Northern Arizona, Notre Dame, Portland, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Penn State, Providence, Stanford, Texas A&M, Tulsa, UCLA, Villanova, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and William and Mary will be competing on Monday.

For the second straight year, the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships will be broadcast live on CBS College Sports. The broadcast will start at 11 a.m. CST and live streaming of the event can be found at NCAA.com.

NCAA.com is the official website for the 2008 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships. Information on the championships can also be found on GoSycamores.com, the official website of Indiana State athletics. On the websites, you will find links to: Course Maps, Ticket Information, Parking, Lodging/Dining/Entertainment, Directions to Course, Meet Entrants and following the event, the official results of the meet.

The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has Arkansas Razorback men’s cross country ranked No. 24 in its most recent poll, it was announced by the association Nov. 18.
