In a new book to be released at the end of December by Human Kinetics, authors Joe Puleo and Patrick Milroy explore the role of muscular strength and human anatomy in running with an eye towards improving running performance at all levels.
RUNNING ANATOMY uses detailed four-color anatomical illustrations to show step-by-step exercises designed to maximize the relationship of muscle strength and proper running form with running faster and more efficiently.
Puleo, a Race Results Weekly subscriber since 2003 and the head men's and women's cross-country and track and field coach at Rutgers University, has 20 years of experience in coaching. Milroy, a medical doctor, has been the chief medical officer for the Road Runners Club in Great Britain since 1998.
