Athlete returns after longtime injury
Lornah Kiplagat will start this Sunday in the 3rd Runner's World Zandvoort Circuit Run. The topathlete has been struggling with an injury for the past year. This week her medical team gave her green light to go for a testrun. Le Champion, organizer of this spectaculair event in Holland, is glad Kiplagat choose the Runner's World Zandvoort Circuit Run for her ‘debut'. She participate in the Ladies Circuit Run 5 km.
The Runners'World Zandvoort Circuit Run is growing fast. The event is spectaculair because it has all the good ingredients of Zandvoort: Running at the former F1 racecircuit near the beach, after that the participants run along the beach, across the boulevard and through the entertaining centre of the coastal town. They finish in front of an enthusiastic crowd at the circuitparc. 12.000 Participants will run 12 km or 5 km. The 5 km is devided in a Men's Circuit Run and a Ladies Circuit Run. They stay at the circuit.
Lornah Kiplagat has been training for months now, constantly under supervision of a medical team. Her last competition was 1 March 2009: The World Best 10K in Puerto Rico. The Dutch athlete is looking forward to returning on the road, although she persistently says it will be a testrun.
