SAN DIEGO, CA (August 23, 2010) - Injinji, the maker of the patented Performance Toesock(TM), was awarded the prestigious American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance for its Ex-Celerator(TM) Compression Toesock and InjinjiRX Therapeutic Toesock. This extends the company's APMA-accepted socks to three; the company's Performance Series Toesocks initially received the APM Seal of Acceptance in 2008.
The APMA Seal of Acceptance recognizes products that are found to be beneficial to foot health and raises awareness among podiatrists and consumers about products of exceptional quality that are manufactured with the consumer's comfort and safety in mind.
The Seal of Acceptance was awarded based on Injinji's patented five-toe-sleeve design that aligns toes for better stability, gripping and balance, while eliminating friction, and protecting against blisters, hot spots, moisture buildup, corns and other common foot ailments.
Injinji® EX-Celerator Performance Compression Toesock features mild graduated compression (8-14mmHg) that helps fuel circulation to promote faster muscle recovery and prevent fatigue. Injinji's patented five-toe sleeve design is coupled with a lower leg graduated compression system, courtesy of LYCRA® Energy fabric. Together, these proven features help prevent blood from pooling in the lower extremities, reducing swelling and the onset of muscle fatigue. Designed for wear during and after exercise (as a recovery product), the Toesocks also feature COOLMAX® freshFX(TM) fibers, which are antibacterial, moisture-wicking and odor-resistant.
The InjinjiRX Therapeutic Toesock is an ultra-comfortable sock designed as a treatment tool for medical professionals, and is also available to consumers. The sock's CoolMax® freshFX(TM) fabric inhibits odor and bacteria, while its five-toe-sleeve design properly aligns toes.
“We're honored that the APMA continues to recognize the serious merits of Injinji performance-enhancing socks,” said Jason Battenfield, CEO of Injinji. "Not only are our designs great for athletes but for anyone that cares about healthy feet which are, after all the foundation of one's body."
