TriStar Madrid and Arnold Classic Europe join forces in the Casa de Campo in Madrid to host a fun multisport weekend

10 OCT 2012, Madrid / Spain: The second edition of TriStar Madrid will be held this weekend in Casa de Campo. Athletes will enjoy the TriStar33.3 and TriStar111 formats, and these are not the only important features of the upcoming Sunday. TriStar is joining forces with the international event Arnold Classic Europe and Arnold Schwarzenegger will be the patron of the race. The 'TRI-erminator' will give start of TriStar111 Madrid at 11:00.

Madrid hosts this Sunday the second TriStar race in Spain in 2012, after the successful TriStar Mallorca. The 111 km of the main TriStar format will be made up of 1km of swimming in the lake, 100 km of cycling with drafting allowed and completed by 10 km of running. In addition, there will be also a TriStar33.3, a faster and shorter format which is starting 45 minutes later. This is ideal for beginners and experienced triathletes who can now enjoy the new spirit of this well-known fun format which offers an easy recovery.

TriStar races are also well known for attracting many VIPs and professional athletes from other sports. Several Formula 1 drivers enjoy participating in TriStar races such as TriStar Monaco, or as it is in TriStar Rio de Janeiro, taking place also this weekend. In Madrid there will be a nice surprise for the triathletes lined-up on the start line, in form of the confirmed presence of the new patron of this edition: The world-famous athlete and actor, and ex Californian Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger will give start of TriStar Madrid. This will be the first time that 'TRI-erminator' assists to a triathlon race, which became possible thanks to a partnership between TriStar Madrid and the international event Arnold Classic Europe. Both are taking place in the same scenario this weekend - Casa de Campo in the city centre of Madrid, and are joining forces to offer a weekend full of fun to all athletes interested in the world of sports. Arnold Classic Europe, which is one of the biggest multi-sports expos and festivals in Europe, will be held on 12-14 October in Madrid.
