Six Additional Twin Cities In Motion Events also Open February 2
St. Paul, Minn. -- January 30, 2013 -- Registration for the 32nd annual Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon and six additional running events hosted by Twin Cities In Motion will open on Saturday, February 2 at 8:00 a.m. The Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon, which will run from downtown Minneapolis to the State Capitol grounds in St. Paul on Sunday, October 6, is limited to 12,200 participants and typically fills by June each year.
Twin Cities In Motion will also open registration for three other Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend events: the Medtronic TC Family Events, TC 5K Run/Walk and TC 10K which take place at the State Capitol grounds on Saturday, October 5.
Registration will also open for the Medtronic TC 1 Mile, held on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis on May 9, the TC Kids Cross Country Fun Run, held May 18 at Como Park in St. Paul, and the Red, White & Boom! TC Half Marathon, held in Minneapolis on July 4.
Registration for all of the events will be conducted online through the Twin Cities In Motion website, TCMEvents.org. Lottery registration for the Medtronic TC 10 Mile held October 6, will open on July 10. The field for the Medtronic TC 10 Mile is limited to 9,800 runners.
TCM, the nonprofit organization that organizes a dozen running events annually in the Twin Cities, will host a Registration Celebration featuring fun runs, refreshments and door prizes from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday where runners can register for the events in person.
