If you liked it in 2011 you’ll LOVE it in 2013! Bigger and better than before!
After great success in 2011, Grafham Water Marathon is now recruiting runners for 2013!
300 runners took their positions in the beautiful September sunshine of 2011 to take part in a fantastic and unique Marathon, with a Latin-American twist throughout.
This inspiring event is organised by Amantani UK, (recent winners of “Human Rights Organisation of the Year” at the prestigious LUKAS awards) who support indigenous children in Peru, bridging the gap between home and school with boarding houses.
Grafham Water Marathon is fun for all the family – Run this stunning route and take in the beautiful surroundings of the Cambridgeshire Countryside and friendly atmosphere. With full and half marathon options anyone can join in!
This unique and vibrant event, with a Latin American atmosphere of live music, Alpacas, food and much more really is a day filled with laughter, achievements and solidarity.
Event Organisers, Amantani express, “We cannot start to tell you how excited we are about organising this event again. In 2011 we had runners come from all over the country to come and take on our adventurous half marathon and full marathon. Over £21,000 was raised for our educational projects in Peru and all the runners completed the routes with a big smile on their face! We look forward to seeing your name on the start list...”
