Athletics: J&A Racing Announces New Youth Fitness Fanatic Program

For 2013, the YFF reward will be given to any child 12 or under who completes any three out of our five races before the end of the year

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - J&A Racing, a world-class race management company, is pleased to announce that in an effort to continue the fight against childhood obesity, and to make all five of its rraces even more family friendly, the Youth Fitness Fanatic (YFF) program for children 12 and under has been added to the Live, Love, Run Challenge.

The Live, Love, Run Challenge was created in 2010 as a reward for those loyal participants who complete all five J&A events.
For 2013, the YFF reward will be given to any child 12 or under who completes any three out of our five races before the end of the year. A special commemorative YFF gift will be mailed to his or her home in early 2014.

Eligible races include the Cupid's 1K as part of the 2013 Bon Secours In Motion Virginia is for Lovers 14k, and Sweetheart 6K, the Operation Smile Shamrock Final Mile as part of the 2014 Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend, the Kids Kilometer as part of the Coors Light Crawlin' Crab Half Marathon and 5k, the Old Point National Bank Monster Mile as part of the 2013 Anthem Wicked 10k, and the Rudolph's 1K as part of the Surf-n-Santa 10 Miler & Frosty's 5k .
"We are excited to be announcing this new fitness initiative as part of our ongoing mission to help children achieve fitness goals as early in life as possible," said J&A co-owner Amy Frostick. "We love to see whole families take part in our events, and this is one more way that will be possible."
