St. Paul, Minn.: January 26, 2017 - Twin Cities In Motion has named Kelly Donahue its new Event Experience Manager. In February, Donahue will join the Minneapolis/St.Paul nonprofit that organizes the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon and a year-round calendar of running events.
Donahue will be tasked with managing the participant experience at TCM events, elevating TCM’s brand awareness and reputation by creating consistent, compelling event experiences at pre-race packet pick up and expos, event entertainment locations, and post-race festival areas.
Donahue arrives at TCM after serving as a race director at Life Time Events & Media, where she was responsible for nine large-scale events in the company’s Minnesota region. Earlier in her career at Life Time, Donahue served as regional brand manager.
Donahue, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minn., has also worked as a cross country coach at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School.
"We’re pleased to welcome Kelly to our staff," Twin Cities In Motion Executive Director Virginia Brophy Achman said. "We’re eager to add someone with Kelly’s experience, talents, and enthusiasm to our organization. We’re excited about some of the runner experience ideas she will bring to our events."
"I'm excited to be a part of a nonprofit organization that volunteers, staff, and the community all support wholeheartedly," Donahue said. "I love how engaged with the community the organization is and I'm excited to help create memorable athlete journeys for these runners."
