March 13, 2010: In the St Patrick's Day 5K in Ottawa Heather Hillsburg was 2nd in 19:15.6. In the 10K Judy Andrew-PIel was 4th and 2nd Master in 40:29.1.

March 6, 2010: Jackie Bonisteel ran 19:54 for 5K in the Dome Super Saturday Meet #3 on March 6, 2010.

February 21, 2010: In today's Winterman Races in Ottawa, Jodi Wendland was first female (and 4th overall) in the 10K in 40:32.

Sheila Kealey won the Gatineau Loppet 49K Classic in 3:03:55.7 yesterday in Gatineau Park. Today she won the 27K skate in 1:28:41.5. Colleen Mortimer was 3rd in 1:34.36.

February 13, 2010: In this morning's uOttawa WinterNational Invitational, Rebecca Stallwood ran 10:55.36 and Daun Lynch 11:01.9 in the 3000M.

January 19, 2010: In Sunday's Richmond Road Races Judy Andrew-Piel ran 41:15 for the 10K placing first female and first Master (40-49).

December 28, 2009: Daniele Riendeau has been named Road Racer of the Year by the Ottawa Sports Awards association, and Mathea Stevens has been named Modern Pentathlete of the Year. They will receive their awards at the Ottawa Sports Awards dinner on January 20, 2010.

November 28, 2009: In today's Canadian Cross Country Championships in Guelph, ON Daniele Riendeau finished 22nd in 25:48.1 for the 7K senior women's course and Daun Lynch finished 44th in 27:56.7

November 21, 2009: In this morning's Ottawa Lions "Distance Dance" Dani Riendeau ran 10:23.5 and Stacey Lance 10:28.3 placing 2nd and 4th respecitively.

November 1, 2009: Sophia Tsouros placed second in the Enduro (11k) Trail Run in 1:31:43. This race was the last of the 5 peaks series (www.5peaks.com) and Sophia ended up winning the Eastern Ontario / Quebec series overall.

October 25, 2009: In the morning's Rattle Me Bones 5K in Ottawa, Daniele Riendeau was the first woman (and 5th overall) in 17:28; Stacey Lance was third in 18:35; Paula Hickman was fifth and first Masters (50-59) in 20:21, and Lisa Steele was 7th and first Masters (40-44) in 20:56.

In the 10K Rebecca Stallwood was second woman in 40:50.

In the Ottawa University XC meet at Terry Fox, Beth Primrose was the first woman in 11:28, Daun Lynch was third in 11:36, Liz Maguire was 6th in 12:02, Heather Hillsburg was 10th in 12:21, and Rachel Scmidt was 16th in 12:54.
The OACRT team placed second with 34 points to UOttawa's 28.

October 18, 2009: Sara Domina finished this morning's Toronto Marathon in 3:17:22 (chip) to finish 12th woman and 6th in her age-group; Carolyn Turner finished in 3:20:41.6 finishing 16th woman and 3rd Masters (40-44).

September 27, 2009: In this morning's Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Half-Marathon, Lisa Balerna ran 1:32:50 placing 13th woman, Paula Hickman ran 1:33:38 placing 18th woman and 1st Master (55-59).

August 24, 2009: Mathea Stevens and Garnett Stevens, who train with the OAC Racing Team, won the Youth A Girls and Youth A Boys divisions at the Canadian Modern Pentathlon Championships Saturday in Port Coquitlam, BC.

August 23, 2009: In this morning's Cornwall Olympic Triathlon Sara Domina was first in 2:15:04 and Daniele Riendeau was third in 2:22:26.
In the Sprint Duathlon, Lisa Balerna was second in 1:08:21.

August 22, 2009: Sophia Tsouros placed third in the Camp Forune Trail Run.
Rachel Schmidt placed 7th age group, 15th female in the 5peaks Trail Race on August 22 at Whistler

August 16, 2009: Danielle Riendeau and Andrea Ager placed first in the Female 45 and Under Muddy Muddy race in Boulder, CO in a time of 45:16.
Race Description
Each race features a 6-7 mile course and 5 obstacles. At the start of the race, one team member will run and one will ride the bike. At the 1st obstacle, the rider will drop the bike, complete the obstacle, and begin running. The runner will arrive, complete the obstacle, find their bike, and begin riding. Teams will continue leapfrogging each other through the entire course. At the end of the race, racers will crawl through the infamous Mud Pit crossing the finish line together!

In this morning's Thousand Islands Duathlon, Lisa Balerna was the first female (and 8th overall) in 1:09:22.
In the Sprint Triathlon Michelle Schuler was the second female in 1:17:20.

August 1, 2009: In this morning's National Capital Triathlon Melanie Patina finished in 2:33:59 for the Olympic distance placing 3rd in her age-group; in the Sprint triathlon Regine Ambroise finshed in 1:13:41 placing first in her age-group.
In the Sprint Duathlon, Joscelyn Coolican was the first woman in 1:12:27.

July 26, 2009: Judy Andrew-Piel finished today's Lake Placid Ironman in 11:29:38 placing 3rd Master (45-49). Jennifer Hopkins finished in 13:46.

June 13, 2009: In this morning's Britannia Beach Run 5k, Regine Ambroise was first woman (and Masters 45-49) in 19:55.
In the Ottawa Riverkeeper Triathlon, Kerry Rocheleau was the first woman in the Olympic Triathlon in 2:37:40 and Daniele Riendeau was 3rd woman in 1:17:43 for the 500M swim, 23.7K cycle and 5K run. She had the 2nd fastest overall 5K run time with an 18:10.
Lisa Balerna was the first woman in the Duathlon in 2:25:08.

June 7, 2009: In this morning's Barrhaven 5K, Lisa Steele ran 21:48.4 and Stepahanie Plante rav 22:42.2.

May 24, 2009: In this morning's Ottawa Half-Marathon, Lisa Balerna finshed 4th female in 1:27:16 (all times are chip) , Judy Andrew-Piel finished 5th female (3rd Master overall and 2nd Master 45-49) in 1:28:02, Martine Quesnel finished in 1:35:34, Michelle Schuler finished in 1:35:43, and Tracy Abarbanel finished in 1:40:03.

May 16, 2009: Lisa Balerna was the first female and 5th overall in this morning's Ottawa Early Bird Sprint Duathlon in a time of 1:11:39 for the 2K/22K/4K distance.

May 9, 2009: Lisa Balerna was the first female in the Where's Franktown 5K this morning in a time of 18:33. Tina Pippy was second in 18:57. Erin Morley was first in the 15K in 1:05:09.

May 2, 2009: Tina Pippy finished 1st female in the Short Course (2.5K, 19.4K, 2.5K) Cumberland Duathlon in 54:32. Kerry Rocheleau finished 2nd female in the Long Course (5K, 38.4K, 5K) in a time of 1:57:26.

April 24, 2009: Liz Maguire ran 17:42 in the Law Day 5K (actually 4.96) today in Ottawa. She was the first woman and second overall!

Paula set a W55 Can Marathon record in Ottawa, and a CAN record in the Hamilton Round The Bay 30K by 5 minutes.

March 29, 2009: In this morning's Around the Bay race in Hamilton, ON Liz Maguire placed 2nd female and 1st Master (40-44) in the 30K in a time of 2:00:17.
Lanni Marchant was the first female (and 13th overall) out of 1038 women in 17:19.

March 14, 2009: In this morning's St. Patrick Day races, Lanni Marchant won the 10K (37:27), Judy Andrew-Piel was 5th woman and first Masters in 41:32.7, and Stephanie McEvoy ran 49:31. February 14, 2009: Lanni Marchant placed 3rd across the line and 3rd in her predicted finish time in today's Really Cool Prediction Run in Ottawa this morning running 7 seconds fatser than her predicted time of 26:13.

February 8, 2009: Michelle Schuler finished 7th female in the Winterlude Triathlon in Ottawa yesterday in a time of 1:16:00 for the 8K skate, 5K ski and 5K run. Gwen Rushton finished 8th in 1:16:38.

November 9, 2008: Lanni Marchant has been selected to the Canadian team for the Chiba road race in Japan November 24th.
Now in its 20th year, the format of the race features mixed teams of men and women running six alternating legs totaling 42.195 km as follows: 1st leg, Men 5 km; 2nd leg, Women 5 km; 3rd leg, Men 10 km; 4th leg, Women 5 km; 5th leg, Men 10 km; 6th leg, Women 7.195 km.

November 8, 2008: In this morning's Half-Ironman World Championship 70.3 in Clearwater, FLA Cynthia WIlson placed 15th pro in 4:24:10; Tina Pippy finished in 4:45:23; Keli Kavanagh finished in 5:07:27; Erin Morley finished in 5:24:45 and Heather Thomson finished in 5:47:18.

In the Niagara Falls Marathon, Beth Primrose ran 2:55:26 to place first female and 13th overall! She wins $2,250.00 ($1,500 for first open and $750.00 for first Master).

October 9, 2008: Lanni Marchant won the Mustang Open XC meet in London, ON in 14:18 for the 4K course.

September 28, 2008: Beth Primrose ran 1:21:16 for the Scotiabank Waterfront Half-Marathon this mroning placing 4th female and 1st Master (45-49).
Justine Ogle ran 3:48:19 (chip-time) in the Marathon.

September 21, 2008: In this morning's Army Run 5K, Lanni Marchant was the top female in 17:22.4, Stephanie Smith was 9th in 19:40.0, Paula Hickman was 11th in 20:12.8, Melanie Patina was 16th in 20:40.2, Marie Jane Roberts was 22nd in 21:11.3 and Lisa Steele was 25th in 21:22.0.
Jackie Sandoz ran unofficial 18:38.

The OAC was the top OVERALL team with a combined time of 57:17 for the top three scorers.

Liz Maguire was the top female in the half-marathon in 1:22:19, Daniele Riendeau was 3rd in 1:23:43.9, Sara Domina was 11th in 1:32:23.9 and Annie Robitaille was 12th in 1:32:25.6. The OAC was the top women's team (and 3rd fastest overall) in 4:18:28.

In the Last Chance Sprint Triathlon, Cynthia WIlson was first female and second overall in a time of 1:11.44.

September 14, 2008: Beth Primrose ran 1:21:14 for the Montreal Half-Marathon this morning placing second female and 1st master (45-49).
Regine Ambroise won her age-group in the Montreal Duathlon in 2:17:43.
Cynthia Wilson finished 6th Pro in the Ironman Muskoka 70.3 in a time of 4:53:00. Tina Pippy finished in 5:33:54 placing 4th in her age-group. Erin Morley finished in 5:51:09 placing 11th in her age-group.

September 6, 2008: Regine Ambroise placed 5th female in the St. Saveur Duathlon in a time of 1:31:17.
Beth Primrose ran 1:26 in this morning's Thousand Island Half-Marathon in Brockville, ON.

August 30, 2008: In this morning's Canadian 8K, Lisa Steele placed third female in 35:50.2.
In the sprint triathlon Sheila Kealey was 2nd female (and first Master 40-44) in 1:26:29; Tina Pippy was 5th female (and 2nd Master 40-44) in 1:30:20; Regine Ambroise was 3rd Master(45-49) in 1:37:59.
In the sprint duathlon Lisa Balerna was first female in 1:23:06.

August 23, 2008: Lisa Balerna finished second female at the Ontario Duathlon Championships in Coburg, ON in a time of 2:33:26 for the 10K run, 40K bike, 5K run.
In Toronto at the Ontario Masters Championships Paula Hickman ran a fine 19:49.49 to break the W55 Ontario Record of 20:01 that was set by Molly Turner in 1990.
Beth Primrose ran 18:39 to win the 45-49 category.

August 19, 2008: Sara Domina finished fourth woman in the Xerox 10K run in Ottawa with a time of 42:45.6.

August 17, 2008: Cynthia Wilson finished the Timberman 70.3 Ironman in 4:31:26 today, placing 3rd among the pro women and 14th overall
In the Thousand Islands Triathlon (Sprint) Regine Ambroise placed 6th female in 1:21:57.
Erin Down finished second female in the Cornwall Olympic Triathlon in 2:31:08.

August 10, 2008: Beth Primrose ran 41:40.8 to place first woman - and 6th overall! - in this morning's Great Raisin River 11K road race in Williamstown, ON.

August 9, 2008: Chrsitina Sutcliffe and Susan Kelly have returned home from the World Lifesaving Championships in Germany with 20 medals betwen them!

August 3, 2008: In this morning's K-Town Triathlon in Kingston, ON, Cynthia Wilson was second elite female and eighth overall in a time of 3:09:30 for the Long Course Triathlon. Keli Kavanagh finished in 3:29:07 placing first in her age-group;Jennifer Hopkins finished in 4:12:38.

August 2, 2008: In this morning's National Capital National Capital Triathlon, Duathlon, Sheila Kealey was first in the Sprint Triathlon in 1:06:30 and Regine Ambroise was seventh in 1:14:56.
In the Super Sprint Triathlon, Liz Maguire was first (overall!) in 1:07:27.
Michelle Schuler was second in the Olympic Triathlon in 2:27:54 and Melanie Patina was fifth in 2:37:36.
In the Sprint Duathlon, Lisa Balerna was first in 1:09:48.

July 27, 2008: In today's Newfoundland Ironman 70.3 in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Cynthia Wilson placed second female in 4:33:34, Sara Domina placed 4th in 4:48:46, Tina Pippy finshed in 5:13:30 placing second in her age-group, and Heather Thomson finished in 5:58:59 placing third in her age-group.

July 20, 2008: Lanni Marchant ran 17:36 in the London Summer Night 5K on July 18, to place first female and 11th overall.
Stephanie Smith placed second in her age-group in the Niagara Triathlon in 1:26:23.
In the Logs, Rocks and Steel adventure race (16K of trail running, 14K of paddling and portaging and 15K of mountain biking) in Minden, ON on Saturday, Sophia Tsouros placed first woman and is off to New Zealand next February for the Coast to Coast race.

July 13, 2008: In this morning's Carleton Place 5K, Martine Quesnel (Ponka) was first in 19:26, Lisa Steele was third - and first Master (40-44) - in 22:26 and Stpehanie Plante was eighth in 23:58.
In the Graham Beasley Sprint Duathlon. Lisa Balerna was first woman (and fourth overall) in 1:07:20.
In the Olympic Triathlon, Kelly Kavanagh was first in 2:31:50.
In the Half-Iron Triathlon, Michelle Schuler was first in 5:14:41.
Sara Domina won the Half-Iron Swim-Cycle in 3:17:00.

In the Boilermaker 15K in Utica, NY Beth Primrose placed 4th Master in 58:58.

Chantal Gosselin placed second in the Ottawa Bicycle Club Grand Prix Masters bike race in Gatineau Park. Kelly Kavanagh placed 6th in 2:02:21.4.

July 13, 2008: Cynthia Wilson won the elite women division of the Gatineau Triathlon on Saturday in a time of 1:01:48 for the 750M swim, 20K cycle and 5K run.
Stephanie Smith was the third woman and first in her age-group in the Olympic distance triathlon in 2:25:44.

July 9, 2008: Liz Maguire ran 5:00.52 for the 1500m in the Ottawa Lions Twilight Meet tonight.

July 6, 2008: Cynthia Wilson won the Canadian Long Course Triathlon Championships in Osoyoos, BC this morning in a time of 4:40:33 for the 2K swim, 90K cycle and 21.2K run, winning by almost 16 minutes!. She placed 18th overall!

July 5, 2008: Sheila Kealey placed second woman in this morning's MIke Collingwood Memorial Triathlon in Gatineau Park in a time of 1:28:52 for the 1200M swim, 23.5K cycle and 6.4K run.
A team of Erin Down, Nicholas Newell and Liz Maguire won the team category in 1:25:41. Ann Marie Foley, Stephanie Smith and Paula Hickman was the first women's team in 1:33:23.

July 1, 2008: In this morning's HBC Canada Day Run 10K, Michelle Schuler was second in 38:50.0, Jackie Sandoz was third in 39:12.8, Lisa Balerna was fourth in 39:43.5, Sheila Kealey was seventh (and second master) in 40:39.4, Annie Robitaille was fifteenth in 44:02.9, Jen Dillinger was twenty-second in 44:58.5, Lisa Steele was thirty-first in 45:56.4, and Stephanie Plante was thrity-third in 46:43.9.
In the Bushtukah Canada Day 5K, Mary Jane Roberts was sixth female in the 5K in 21:08.1.
In the HBC Canada Day Run in Windsor Lanni Marchant was first woman (and fourth overall) in 35:49.1.

June 29, 2008: In today's Barry's Bay triathlon, Stephanie Smith was third woman in 1:55:00 and Erin Down was nnth in 2:03:25.

June 22, 2008: A day after running a PB 5K in Emilie's Run, Cynthia Wilson journeyed to Smiths Falls and placed first woman and fifth overall in the Sprint Triathlon in 1:05:44.

June 15, 2008: In this morning's Do It For Dad 5K, Tracy Abarbanel ran a PB 20:52.1 to place second woman and first in her age-group.
In Muskoka, in the Long Course Triathlon, Cynthia Wilson was 2nd overall in the chase format and first women pro in 3:05:22, beating Lisa Bentley who finished in 3:07:15!
Sara Domina was first in her age-group in 3:22:40.

June 14, 2008: In today's Riverkeeper Sprint Triathlon, Sheila Kealey finished second woman (and fourth overall) in 1:07:27, Melanie Patina was third in 1:11:57, Tifenn Vialatte was twelfth in 1:16:44. In the Olympic triathlon Keli Kavanagh was fourth in 2:27:51, Erin Morley was seventh in 2:31:12.
Lisa Balerna was first woman (and seventh overall) in 2:14:38 in the Duathlon.
Susan Kelly won the Westboro 5Km Fun Run (and was third overall) in a time of 19:36.

June 9, 2008: Lanni Marchant ran 35:23 in the YMCA-CHOK Annual International Bridge Race from Port Huron to Sarnia, ON on Saturday. She placed first female and sixth overall!
In the Camp Fortune - 5 Peaks Trail Running Series Enduro (15K) on Saturday, Spohia Tsouros was 3rd in 1:34:33.9 and Jen Dillinger was 6th in 1:42:16.

May 26, 2008: Lisa Balerna was named duathlete of the year by Triathlon Canada for the Age Group 18-39 category.

May 25, 2008: In this morning's ING Ottawa Marathon Liz Maguire ran 2:55:06 to place 17th woman and 1st Master (40-44); Paula Hickman ran 3:11:30 (a new Canadian masters record!) to place 28th woman and first Master (55-59); Michelle Schuler ran 3:36:32.
In the Half-Marathon, Beth Primrose placed 3rd woman and 1st Master (45-49) in 1:22:54; Lisa Balerna was 6th in 1:27:18; Martine Ponka was 14th in 1:30:03; Annie Robitaille ran 1:37:47; Justine Ogle ran 1:41:59. (* Chip Times)

Lisa Balerna was the the first woman in the sprint duathlon (2K run, 22K cycle, 5K run) in 1:10:37.
Cynthia Wilson was the first woman - and second overall - in the long triathlon (500M swim, 34.2K bike and 5K run) in 1:26:08; Sara Domina was second in 1:31:38.
Sheila Kealey was third - and first Masters (40-44) in the sprint triathlon (500M swim, 22.8K cycle, 5K run) in 1:13:48.

May 3, 2008: In the Cumberland Duathon this morning, Tina Pippy was second female (9th overall) in the Sprint Duathlon in 56:23 for the 2.5K run, 19.4K cycle and 2.5K run distance.
In the Long Duathlon (5K run, 38.4K cycle, 5K run) Stepahnie Smith was third in 2:03:52.
Mary Jane Roberts won her age-group in the Diefenbooker 5K race in Carp.

April 27, 2008: Beth Primrose ran 18:14 to place first woman and 11th overall in the Limestone City 5km in Kingston this morning.
Melanie Patina placed 8th woman in the Half-Marathon in 1:36:30.
Cynthia Wilson placed 8th Pro woman in a time of 2:05:04 the St. Anthony's Triathlon in St. Petersburg, Florida this morning.

April 21, 2008: In today's Boston Marathon, Carolyn Turner ran 3:20:35, Jen Dillenger - 3:29:33, Tifenn Vialatte - 3:30:35 and Jane Rutherford - 3:34:12.

April 20, 2008: Liz Maguire finished 15th female (10th Canadian) and 2nd Masters (40-44) in the Canadian Half-Marathon Championships in Montreal this morning in a time of 1:24:25.
In the Physio Run 10K Beth Primrose was first female, first Master (and 4th overall!) in 37:58. Martine Ponka was second female in the 5K in 19:47.

April 13, 2008: Lisa Balerna was the first woman in the Run for Reach Half-Marathon this morning in a time of 1:26:19.0. Sara Domina was 4th in 1:34:41.
In the 10k Annie Robitaille was 3rd in 41:42.4; Erin Morley was 4th in 42:36.6.

April 5, 2008: Beth Primrose finished 6th woman and 2nd Masters (45-49) in a time of 30:25 in Harry's Spring Run-off 8K in Toronto, ON this morning.

March 30, 2008: Liz Maguire placed first Master(40-44) and 5th female in today's Hamilton Around the Bay 30K Road Race in a time of 2:00:08. Michelle Schuler finished 14th in 2:08:04, Paula Hickman ran 2:11:56 for 22nd place and 1st Master(55-59) and a new Masters' record, Melanie Patina - 2:24:51, and Jane Rutherford - 2:26:30.
Martine Ponka, Jen Dillinger and Sophia Tsouros ran the relay and finished second overall in a time of 2:06:20.

March 29, 2008: Heather Thomson finished the California 70.3 (Half-Ironman) race held in Oceanside, California in 6:03:02.

March 22, 2008: Lanni Marchant was the first woman in the Downtown 5K in London, ON in a time of 17:47. Sophia Tsouros finished in 20:05.

March 15, 2008: Chantal Gosselin and Jen Dillinger placed 2nd and 4th respectively in the St. Patrick's Day 10K in Ottawa in times of 38:45.3 and 43:13.2.
Beth Primrose was the first woman and 7th overall in the St. Patrick's Day 4 Mile in Scottsdale, Arizona in a time of 25:26.
