The Ottawa Athletic Club Racing Team was founded in 1981 as a road racing club.
Today it has evolved into a women's primarily road racing team for with a number of athletes
who also compete in triathlons and duathlons.
The prime focus of the OAC Racing Team continues to
be the provision of coaching, facilities and the group environment for the development of women runners
and multi-sport athletes.
Through the sponsorship of the Ottawa Athletic Club
at 2525 Lancaster Road, the Racing Team has access to the facilities of the OAC which includes an indoor
track, complete weight facilities, indoor and outdoor pools, wind trainers and treadmills.
The club is also sponsored by the Runner's Web.
